A brand-new supermarket will be holding its grand opening in Northern Westchester this week.
Green Way Markets will be open for business on Friday, Oct. 11 at the Orchard Square Shopping Center at the intersection of routes 35 and 121 North in the hamlet of Cross River in Lewisboro.
It is filling the space that had been filled by another family owned business, DeCicco Family Market, which closed on Sept. 1, 2018. DeCicco cited a rate increase by the shopping center's owner as the reason for the closure.
Estevez Markets, which operates Green Way, has 11 grocery stores including eight Foodtown supermarkets, including stores in Yonkers, and the Hastings-on-Hudson Foodtown.
Green Way offers organic and natural foods with a high-end gourmet twist. To view the weekly circular, click here.
The store will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.
