Man, Teen Charged In Death Of Man Found Lying On Roadside In Hudson Valley
A 38-year-old area man and a 17-year-old have been charged with alleged manslaughter in connection with the death of another man who was found dead lying on the side of a roadway.
Ulster County resident Joseph Karolys, of the town of Saugerties, and the teen, were arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 22 for the Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 death of David "Mickey" Myer, age 66, also of Saugerties.

Duo Nabbed For Series Of Burglaries In Hudson Valley, Police Say
Two men from the area have been nabbed for allegedly committing a series of burglaries.
The men were arrested in Ulster County on Friday, Dec. 2 in the town of Saugerties.
Following an investigation into several burglaries that occurred throughout the town of Saugerties, Saugerties Police detectives have arrested Kirk Shultis Jr., age 33, and Matthew Doyle, age 40, both of Saugerties, for felony burglary, said Chief Joseph Sinagra, of the Saugerties Police.
Both men were remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $59,000 cash bail.

Man Who Tried To Jump From Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge Arrested For Murder, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man who had attempted to jump from a bridge has been arrested for allegedly killing a woman whose body was found in a wooded area.
Johnny Amaro, age 49, of the town of Ulster, was arrested and charged with felony murder around 11:45 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 1.
According to Chief Kyle Berardi, of the Ulster Police Department, on Thursday around 8:20 a.m., officers were notified of a dead woman in a wooded area off the Eastern Parkway in the town of Ulster.
As a result of an investigation, the woman was found to be a victim of homicide, the chief said.

An Ulster County grand jury has indicted an area man for the shooting death of a popular musician and tattoo artist.
Orange County resident, Walter Post Jr., age 26, of Pine Bush, was indicted for the second-degree murder of 29-year-old Michael Hankins of Woodridge, said Ulster County District Attorney David Clegg.
