2024 Valedictorian, Salutatorian Announced By High School In Westchester
Two high-achieving seniors at a Northern Westchester high school are being recognized for landing at the top of their class. In an announcement on Wednesday, June 12, Byram Hills High School revealed its valedictorian and salutatorian for the class of 2024 are Grace Lin and Daniel Ndocaj, respectively. 2 HS Students From Westchester Place In Top 10 Of Prestigious Regeneron Competition
Two high school students from Westchester won top awards and took home tens of thousands of dollars in the country’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors. The two 17-year-old students, Ossining resident Thomas Cong and Irvington resident Christopher Zorn, placed No. 2 and No. 6 in the 2024 Regeneron Science Talent Search, respectively, the Society for Science announced on Tuesday, March 12. Harvard Grad Student Becomes First Active Military Member Crowned Miss America
A graduate student at Harvard has made history as the first active duty member of the military to be crowned Miss America. Madison Marsh, who is working on her master's degree in public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and currently a graduate intern with Harvard Medical School, was crowned on Sunday, Jan. 14. An associate professor at Stony Brook University has been arrested for allegedly stealing state and federal funding meant for cancer research for his own use, federal authorities say.
