Brewster Students' Portraits Of Pets Benefit Wounded Warrior Project BREWSTER, N.Y. -- It started as just a regular art project, but when eighth-grade Brewster students began getting frequent compliments on their pet portraits, their art teacher and her fellow teachers had an idea. Henry H. Wells Middle School art teacher, Irene Othmer had the idea to donate a portion of the portrait sales to the Wounded Warrior Project.  Twelve students were selected to each draw two portraits over a two-week period in December. More than 20 teachers requested pet portraits, which allowed the students to donate $350 from the portrait sales for the Wounded Warrior Project. …
