POCANTICO HILLS, N.Y. -- Unpredictable winter weather can make travel to a museum challenging, but it also makes this season a perfect time for an in-school presentation from the “Colonial Man,” Sam Ladley, who recently brought the museum to Pocantico Hills School students. The interactive program for Pocantico Hills fourth-graders kept he students riveted as it supported their ELA and social studies curriculum while bringing colonial days to life. Bramson’s State of the City Address Scheduled At New Rochelle City Hall
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Mayor Noam Bramson will deliver his annual State of the City address on Wednesday, March 8, at a new venue: New Rochelle City Hall at 515 North Ave. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a networking reception in the Rotunda, followed by the speech at 7:15 p.m. in Council Chambers. ELMSFORD, N.Y. -- Students at Alexander Hamilton Jr./Sr. High School in Elmsford learned about the act of forgiveness during a special assembly on Leadership Day, Feb. 17. The event, which took place in the high school auditorium, included three speakers from Breaking the Cycle, an award-winning program that stresses honest communication and forgiveness as a way of resolving conflicts by incorporating the real-life experiences of people. EASTCHESTER, N.Y. --The Tuckahoe Youth Association (TYA) and the Eastchester Little League (ELL) jointly announced the merger of their softball programs.
