LARCHMONT, N.Y. - Carol Ann DeFelice of Larchmont died March 25. She was 71.
DeFelice was born in the Bronx on Dec. 12, 1941, to George and Pauline (Labonte) Esselborn. She was a retired professor of nursing at the College of Mount St. Vincent. Prior to that she taught at Pace University School of Nursing.
DeFelice received her R.N. from St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing in New York City in 1962. She received a B.S. from Hunter College before earning her M.A., M.E. and a doctorate in education, all from Columbia's Teachers College. She obtained her Adult Nurse Practitioner's Certification from the College of Mt. Saint Vincent.
DeFelice is survived by her husband, Clement; children, Paul (Sheila) of Wilton Conn.; Mark (Kristin) of Larchmont; Karen (Lewis) Meyers of Rye; and Cynthia (Scott) Auker of Larchmont; 11 grandchildren; brothers, George and Fred Esselborn; sisters, Lorraine Stratis, Linda Foote, and Janet Sauter; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
Calling hours will be Monday, April 1, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home 767 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 2, at 10 a.m. at Sts. John and Paul R.C. Church in Larchmont followed by interment at Peach Pond Cemetery in Brewster.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cavalry Hospital in DeFelice's name.
