The self-taught chef posed alongside his son, Asa, and said he was humbled and appreciative of all the votes Westchesterites cast for him. The Briarcliff Manor eatery won with 44 percent of the total tally.
"It was a fun contest and got our customers talking -- and clicking," he said.
Good Food, which is also known for its crepes, salads, sandwiches and entrees, prides itself on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients as often as possible, along with an eclectic menu. Chambal never fries anything, and offers vegetarian, gluten and dairy free items as well as traditional favorites.
"I like to offer fun menus that satisfy the cravings and nutritional challenges of my customers," he said.
And yes, folks, that includes his DVlicious soups.
