$52M Scheme: 10 Charged By Feds In Fraud Case Targeting Westchester-Based Company
Ten people have been charged in connection with a massive scheme to defraud a leading cargo airline based in New York of tens of millions of dollars in revenue and the services of its employees, federal authorities announced.
The 10 charged are:

Wilton Man Man Nabbed For $17K Rip-Off From Estate Sale, Police Say
A local man was charged with larceny for allegedly selling $17,000 in goods at a Fairfield County estate sale and did not turn the money over to the victim's estate, according to authorities.
Nick Hatch, age 28, of Wilton, was charged on Friday, Jan. 27, after turning himself in to Wilton Police, said Lt. Gregg Phillipson, of the Wilton Police.
According to Phillipson, Hatch entered into a contract to sell items from the victim's estate. The items were sold, however, Hatch allegedly failed to provide the money owed to the victim per their agreement.

A Fairfield County man has been charged in an alleged road rage incident in which he lied to police about his identity because he was on probation, authorities said.
The incident took place in Wilton around 9:45 a.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 4.
According to Wilton Police Lt. Gregg Phillipson, officers responded to a report of two motorists fighting.

Westchester Man Nabbed For Liquor Store Theft, Police Say
A man from Westchester County has surrendered to police for allegedly stealing more than a $1,000 in liquor with a woman from a Fairfield County store.
The theft took place in Wilton in June at Caraluzzi Wine & Spirits.
Westchester County resident Hugo Matos, age 48, of Yonkers, turned himself in to Wilton Police on an arrest warrant for the charges on Wednesday, July 20, said the Wilton Police.

Man Charged After Dog Attack In Area, Police Say
A Fairfield County man was charged after two of his dogs allegedly got loose and attacked a miniature horse.
Brian Andronaco Sr., age 58, was arrested on Sunday, Dec. 19, in Wilton.
He was charged with two counts of having a nuisance animal, roaming dog, and a failure to comply with a restraining order, said Lieutenant Gregg Phillipson, of the Wilton Police.
Phillipson said officers responded to 140 Kellogg drive around 2:30 p.m., for a report of a dog attacking a miniature horse.

Actor Charles Grodin, Who Dies At 86, Was Longtime Fairfield County Resident
Actor Charles Gordon, a longtime Connecticut resident, died at the age of 86.
Grodin, who lived in Fairfield County, in Wilton, died from bone marrow cancer on Tuesday, May 18, his family announced.
Grodin had numerous stage credits before he was cast in “Catch-22” in 1970 by director Mike Nichols. He then went on to star in “Heartbreak Kid,” in “Heaven Can Wait” with Warren Beatty, and with Robert De Niro in “Midnight Run.”
