34-Year-Old Victim Of Two-Vehicle Hudson Valley Crash Remembered As Talented Musician A popular Hudson Valley musician is being remembered by family and friends after being killed in a two-vehicle crash. Orange County resident A.J. Christie, also known as Arthur Joseph Christie III, of Pine Bush, died on Thursday, April 14, after his motorcycle collided with an SUV in the town of Crawford. The crash took place when Christie, age 34, was heading north on Drexel Drive while riding a 2004 Suzuki and for an unknown reason crossed the double-yellow line and hit a 2004 Honda CRV driven by 25-year-old Morgan McManus of Wallkill, police said. Hudson Valley Entrepreneur Donald Knueppel Dies At 32 Donald Knueppel, an entrepreneur and longtime resident of the area, died on Thursday, Feb. 8 at Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center in the Town of Hamptonburgh. He was 32. The son of Robert Knueppel Jr. and Michele Wallentine, he was born on July 8, 1985 in Jersey City. Donnie enjoyed WWE Wrestling, karaoke, dancing, sports, drawing, singing, and playing video games. He also enjoyed meeting new people, spending time with his family and friends, and was a real ladies' man. Roland Smith, College Football Player In Hudson Valley, Dies At 20 Roland LaShain Smith III of Montgomery died on Tuesday, Jan. 30. He was 20. The cause of death was cardiac arrest, which occurred while he was playing basketball, according to a GoFundMe page that has raised more than $10,000. He was born on Nov. 18, 1997 in Astoria Queens.  After moving to Middletown with his family in 2003, Roland attended Truman Moon Elementary School. He then attended Crispell Middle School in Pine Bush, and graduated from Pine Bush High School in 2015.
