Who's The Winner? $1M Lottery Ticket Sold In Wilton Unclaimed
Connecticut Lottery officials are putting out the call for players to check their tickets with a $1 million Fairfield County Powerball winner still at large. The winning ticket, purchased on May 2 at the Georgetown Shell at 912 Danbury Road in Wilton matched five numbers making it worth a million dollars, lottery officials said. The winning numbers were 5-14-31-40-50 and the Powerball was 6. Winners have 180 days to claim their prize money before the state keeps the cash. While there was no jackpot winner in the Wednesday Powerball drawing, one lucky person in Wilton matched the first 5 numbers drawn for the $1,000,000 prize. Purchased at the Georgetown Shell at 912 Danbury Road, the winning numbers were: 5 – 14 – 31 – 40 – 50. The Powerball number was 6, and the Power Play multiplier number was 2. CT Lottery said the new millionaire has not yet claimed the prize. They have until Oct. 29 to do so. All tickets expire 180 calendar days from the draw date, they added. Home Depot Grand Opening Features 'Neighborhood Night' In Stamford
The only new Home Depot opening this year happens to be on West Main Street in Stamford. The new store kicked off its grand opening celebration on Wednesday night, April 25 when Stamford Mayor David Martin led a "board-cutting ceremony." The event also included tours of the 140,000-square-foot store, a Kids Workshop and free food and refreshments. On Thursday, April 26, Home Depot planned to offer vendor demonstrations, giveaways and free lunch for customers. The store -- located at 1925 W. Main St. -- employs about 270 Home Depot associates.

Three Drunk Drivers Nabbed In One Night In Stamford, Police Say
Stamford Police had a busy night Friday arresting three driving for operating under the influence within six hours, including two at the same location.The action began around 9:45 p.m. when working with the OUI team, Capt. Diedrich Hoh and Officer Damien Rosa arrested Jorge Eyssen, 57, for driving on the wrong side of the road on West Main Street, Hohn said. Once stopped, Hohn said Eyssen "reeked of alcohol" and failed all the field sobriety test, and once at headquarters, he refused to take additional tests. Seen Him? Resident Scares Off Man Who Broke Into Stamford Home
Police are asking the public for help in locating a man wanted in connection with an attempted burglary in Stamford last week. A video surveillance released Wednesday, shows the man, who was interrupted by the resident around 11:15 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, on Aberdeen Street, police said. The man is described as being about 5-foot-8, “with a dark complexion and very short hair with a medium build,” police said. He was wearing a dark blue sweatshirt and what looks like gray sweatpants.
