School District Issues Alert After Luring Incident Involving SUV Driver, Two Girls An alert was sent to parents of students after a man approached two students at a bus stop in the area. According to the alert from the Wappinger Central School District, the incident took place around 7:57 a.m. Friday when the two female Sheafe Road Elementary School students walking to the bus stop noticed a dark gray Subaru Outback parked in a local business, on Route 9 near Wenliss Terrace. Hudson Valley Teacher Arrested For Child Porn A Dutchess County teacher who was being investigated for making inappropriate comments to a student has been charged with six counts of possession of child pornography, according to New York State Police. Steven Schwartz, 53, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested Friday following an investigation of an incident that took place between Schwartz and a student at Fishkill Plains Elementary School, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
