One Killed In Chain-Reaction Route 22 Crash A 51-year-old man was killed and three others hospitalized in the Hudson Valley following a chain-reaction crash, according to authorities. New York State Police troopers in Dutchess County launched an investigation into a fatal crash that was reported at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30 on State Route 22 in Dover. Police said that the initial investigation determined that Pawling resident David Elwell was driving a 2012 Hyundai Accent northbound on Route 22 near North Nellie Hill Road when he entered the southbound lanes for unknown reasons. Northern Westchester Man Nabbed For DWI/Drugs Following Crash Into Tree, Police Say A Northern Westchester man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs following a traffic crash in which he hit a vehicle and a tree. William Hankins, age 41, of Ossining, was arrested on Tuesday, March 16, after Yorktown Police responded to a two-vehicle crash. The incident took place around 7:36 p.m. when the Yorktown officer responded to a call of a two-vehicle crash. Crash Damaging Pole Causes Road Closure In Stamford Motorists should take note that a roadway in Stamford remains closed Monday morning following a traffic crash that damaged a power pole, according to Stamford Police. Power company employees are replacing the pole on Pepper Ridge at Vine Road that was smashed during the crash around 8 p.m. Sunday, police said. Police said Pepper Ridge Road will remain closed until the repairs are complete, and did not have an exact time estimate.  Officers did not have information on the crash, or if anyone was injured.
