A 23-year-old Long Island man was found guilty of stabbing his former college lacrosse teammate, a Northern Westchester County man, during a dispute about a loud party.
Matthew Stockfeder was convicted on Thursday, March 24, of first-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon in the 2019 stabbing of his then-roommate Justin Corpolongo, according to Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.

Matthew Stockfeder, 21, of Melville, who played lacrosse at Walt Whiteman High School, was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 22, after stabbing his roommate Justin Corpolongo, 23, the NYPD said.

Northern Westchester native Donna L. Furu of Brewster, a financial services professional, died unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, Jan. 20. She was 52.
She was born in Mount Kisco on April 19, 1965, the daughter of Philip and Florence (Light) Furu. Donna graduated from Somers High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
