27-Year-Old Westchester Teacher Struck, Killed By Delivery Truck
A sixth-grade social studies teacher from Westchester was struck and killed by a home heating oil truck in Manhattan.
Sarah Foster, 27, a teacher at Louis M. Klein Middle School in the Harrison school district was hit about 5:50 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15 at East 37th St. and Third Ave. in the Murray Hill section, said the NYPD.
Foster, of Manhattan, who attended private high school in Hamden, Conn., was found by NYPD officers lying on the roadway with trauma about the body, police said.
EMS responded to the location and pronounced Foster dead at the scene.
