Wilton Man Nabbed For Racially-Motivated Road Rage Incident, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been charged in connection with a road rage incident in which he allegedly yelled racial epithets at the victim. Erik Krobetzky, age 50, of Wilton, turned himself in to police on a warrant on Friday, Dec. 9 for the incident which took place on Saturday, Sept. 10 in Wilton. According to Lt. Gregg Phillipson of the Wilton Police, during the incident, Krobetzky cut off another motorist on Route 7 and then began to drive slowly in front of the victim, braking hard intermittently and swerving in front of them.  Krobetzky then displayed his middle finger at the vi…

Expect Closures: Route 7 Construction Work Starts There will be overnight lane closures throughout Connecticut, as contractors with the Connecticut Department of Transportation install rumble strips in various town. Beginning on Monday, Aug. 15, motorists can expect closures on Route 111 near Historic Drive to Old Church Road in Monroe. There will also be closures on Route 104 north of Butternut Lane in Stamford and on Route 7 in Wilton from Olmstead Hill Road toward Old Mill Road. Work is expected to last from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, as well as 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the rest of the week. The closures are expected to last through Wednesday,…
