Driver Killed After Truck Crashes Into Bar In Hudson Valley
This story has been updated. One person was killed after a truck plowed into the front of a popular Hudson Valley bar and music venue. The crash took place in Dutchess County around 10:40 a.m. on Monday, June 20 in the Town of Poughkeepsie at Junior's Lounge at 504 Salt Point Turnpike. Four children were rescued after falling through the ice on a Hudson Valley pond, with one requiring CPR. The incident took place in Dutchess County at 5 p.m., on Sunday, March 6, Sunday responders were dispatched to a water emergency involving four children in the water at the Greenfields Pond located on Cream Street in Hyde Park. A 44-year-old man who was stranded on his capsized sailboat in the Hudson River during an intense thunderstorm was rescued by two Good Samaritans. The incident took place around 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 8, when the Dutchess County 911 Center received a report of a capsized sailboat on the Hudson River off the Town of Hyde Park shoreline, said Dutchess County Sheriff's Office Lt. Woman ID'd As Victim Of Fatal Route 9 Crash
A 32-year-old local woman has been identified as the victim in a fatal two-vehicle crash on Route 9. New York State Police said Mindy R. Dohrenwend of Hyde Park was killed around 11:45 a.m., Sunday, March 10, on Route 9 (Albany Post Road) in the town of Hyde Park. Dohrenwend was driving a 2005 Honda CRV northbound on Albany Post Road when she apparently lost control of her vehicle. Four people were rescued late Saturday night following a 911 call of a water emergency involving Jet Ski watercraft in distress on the Hudson River in the vicinity of Norrie Point Marina in the hamlet of Staatsburgh in Hyde Park. Motorist Killed In Crash Involving School Bus, Car In Area
One person died following a crash between a car and a Red Hook school bus, according to Hyde Park police. According to Lt. Robert Benson, the crash occurred around 8 a.m., Monday in the area of South Quaker Lane and Dana Place. Once on scene, officers found a head-on crash between the bus and the car with a possible ejection. An investigation into the crash revealed that a 2002 Honda Civic was traveling north on South Quaker Lane, and a 2015 Ford Red Hook School bus traveling south on South Quaker lane collided.
