A prayer vigil will be held to honor a 15-year-old high school student who died unexpectedly in Fairfield County. Thomas John Bergeron III, of Ridgefield, died on Monday, Oct. 30. Tommy was the beloved son of Eliana (Romero) and Thomas John Bergeron Jr., and the loving brother of Luna Bergeron, according to his obituary. Ridgefield Public Schools officials made the announcement to the community on Monday but did not name the student. Support Pours In For Family Of School Staffer In Ridgefield After His Death At Age 28
Donations are pouring in to support the family of a late 28-year-old man who worked at multiple schools in Fairfield County. Edwin Ordonez died from injuries sustained in an accident on Tuesday, Aug. 2, according to the organizers of a GoFundMe set up for his family. He is survived by his wife, Aracely, and his 4-month-old daughter, Sarah, the organizers said. 19: Positive Case, Exposure Lead To Quarantines At Area School
A positive case of COVID-19, as well as additional exposure, have led to quarantines at a high school in Fairfield County. Ridgefield Public Schools Superintendent Susie Da Silva said in a message Friday night, Oct. 16 that about three dozen Ridgefield High School staff members and students have been asked to quarantine after being exposed to multiple sources of COVID. 19: With 42 Cases, Ridgefield Introduces Stricter Separation Restrictions
With the number of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases jumping by eight in one day in Ridgefield, from 34 to 42, officials are introducing stricter measures. Health Director Ed Briggs confirmed on the numbers on Wednesday, March 25, adding that there had been one death not associated with a senior care facility on Route 7. 19: Ridgefield Declares State Of Emergency
A state of emergency has been declared for the town of Ridgefield in response to the continued spread of the novel coronavirus. First Selectman Rudy Marconi declared the emergency on Friday, March 13, to allow the town to focus on the its response to the pandemic.
