26-Year-Old Firefighter Dies After Blaze Breaks Out At His Northern Westchester Home A young firefighter died after a blaze broke out at his home in Westchester County on Thanksgiving morning. Sean Carroll was 26 years old. The fire began in the basement of the Carroll home in Thornwood in the early hours of Thursday, Nov. 25, according to authorities. "First responding fire department members were able to evacuate Teresa Carroll and Connor Carroll who were asleep during the time of the fire," said the Rye Brook Police Benevolent Association, which is hosting an online fundraiser to support the family. New Canaan Youth Sports Coach Killed In Massachusetts Crash A New Canaan man died after crashing his truck on Interstate 195 in Dartmouth, Mass., on Friday. Richard Carroll was killed around 3 p.m. Friday, July 20, after his 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 4-by-4 pickup truck hit the Highland Avenue overpass bridge, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office. He was the lone occupant of the vehicle. The crash is under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police. The 72-year-old Carroll was a 27-year resident of New Canaan and coached youth soccer and basketball.  Visiting hours will be held at the Hoyt Funeral Home on Thursday, July 2…
