27 From Westchester Named Regeneron Science Scholars A total of 31 of the Hudson Valley's best and brightest high school seniors were among 300 chosen to compete with some of the nation’s top students in the Regeneron Science Talent Search competition. The 300 scholars were chosen out of 1,760 applications that were received from 611 high schools across 49 states. North Rockland High School earned top honors at the 70th annual Westchester County Cheerleading Invitational, which was held at the County Center in White Plains. Several individual cheerleaders and coach Tanya Kelsch also earned individual accolades.
