Police Officer Delivers Baby At Westchester Home A Westchester police officer came to the rescue of a mother in active labor and ended up delivering her baby at her residence. The delivery took place around 5:30 p.m., Monday, March 22, after Greenburgh Police officers and EMS units responded to a residence in the Fairview section of the Town of Greenburgh for a patient that was experiencing labor pains and contractions. Upon police arrival, Detective Paramedic Dean Annicchiarico quickly assessed the 27-year-old female who was in active labor, said Lieutenant Kobie Powell, of the Greenburgh Police Department. …

Busy Westchester Roadway To Be Closed During Milling, Paving Motorists could face delays when road work consisting of milling and paving begins on Dobbs Ferry Road The work, both eastbound and westbound, between Tarrytown Road (Rt. 119) and the Sprain Brook Parkway in the Town of Greenburgh will begin on Sunday, Nov. 15, and run through Saturday, Nov. 21, said Greenburgh Police Lt. Kobie Powell. The work will take place during the overnight hours, Powell said.  If possible motorists would be better served taking alternate routes during the listed time periods.
