Severed Deer Head Found In Driveway Of Home Of New Canaan Town Official Police in Fairfield County are investigating after a severed deer head was left in a town official’s driveway. New Canaan Police confirmed that the head was found just before 3 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 27, but have released few other details, including the town official's identity.  “At this time, we are investigating this incident,” New Canaan Police Lt. Woman Nabbed For Stealing From Fairfield County Store, Police Say One of two women who allegedly stole more than $700 worth of merchandise from an area store has been charged with the theft. Azra Zejnilovic, age 22, of the Bronx, turned herself in to the New Canaan Police on Wednesday, Sept. 1, for the incident which took place in February at the Athletic Shoe Factory. Fairfield County Man Who Claimed He Accidentally Shot Wife Charged With Murder A Fairfield County man who said he accidentally shot his wife to death in their basement has been charged with her murder.  Albert Kokoth, age 77, of New Canaan, was arrested on Tuesday, July 13, for the Thursday, May 6, shooting death of his wife Margaret Kokoth. Worker Accused Of Stealing $3K In Cash, Alcohol From New Canaan Restaurant A Fairfield County restaurant employee was arrested after allegedly stealing more than $3,000 in alcohol and cash. Felipe Andaur-Leiva, age 33, of Fairfield, was arrested on Monday, May 17, for the thefts which took place at the Sole Restaurant in New Canaan, said New Canaan PD Lieutenant Jason Ferraro.  According to Ferraro, New Canaan Police responded to the restaurant in April for a report of theft by an employee. Shotgun Stolen From Unlocked Vehicle In New Canaan Police in one Fairfield County town are concerned after a shotgun was stolen from an unlocked vehicle, just a month after four firearms were stolen from another vehicle. The shotgun was stolen from an unlocked vehicle during the early morning hours of Jan. 12, on Wydendown Road, in New Canaan, said Lt. Jason Ferraro.
