15 Displaced As Fire Breaks Out At Three-Story, Multi-Family House In Westchester
Fifteen residents have been displaced after a two-alarm fire sparked in a multi-family home on Christmas night. Firefighters were dispatched to a three-story Locust Hill Avenue home shortly before 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 25, when a fire broke out in the walls and ceilings of all three floors, Yonkers Deputy Chief Daniel Flynn said. Crews were on scene within two minutes, Flynn noted. The fire was knocked down and under control by 11:27 p.m. According to Flynn, four firefighters suffered minor injuries battling the blaze. 28 Families Displaced After Three-Alarm Apartment Fire Breaks Out In Westchester
A total of 28 families likely will need to be relocated following a three-alarm fire that broke out late Sunday afternoon at an apartment house in Westchester. One female resident was rescued by firefighters from a fourth-floor window and pulled to the fire escape at 637 Van Cortlandt Park Ave., said Yonkers Fire Department Deputy Chief of Personnel Daniel P.
