The blaze broke out around 7:51 p.m., Tuesday, May 11, on Hayes Drive in Yorktown Heights. When firefighters arrived on the scene they found a grill on fire next to a structure, the Yorktown Volunteer Fire Department said. The fire took place around 3:56 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 23, at a single-family home located on the 100 block of Scott Avenue in Yonkers, said Deputy Chief Joseph Citrone. New Rochelle Police Officer Timothy Childs was on patrol shortly after 9 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20 on Pelham Road when he saw smoke coming from a six-unit Franklin Avenue apartment building, prompting him to leap into action.
