Hudson Valley Top Cop Named President Of State Police Chief's Association
A popular Hudson Valley police chief has been named President of the New York State Association of Chiefs of Police. Joseph A. Sinagra of the Saugerties PD in Ulster County was sworn in during the annual conference in Albany. He succeeds Chief Kevin Sylvester of the Ossining PD. Sinagra previously served on both the Board of Governors and the executive board of the NYSACOP. New Police Chief Takes Command In Rockland County
There's a new police chief in Rockland County, a man who has served as a police officer in the Hudson Valley for more than 34 years. Interim Chief Jeffrey Wanamaker was selected to serve as the next chief of the town of Clarkstown following a vote by Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann and the Town Board on Thursday, Aug. 5. Memorial Services Scheduled For Ridgefield Police Chief John Roche
Memorial services have been scheduled for John Roche, who died on Thursday, Aug. 30 less than a week after his retirement as Ridgefield police chief. He was 62. Chief Roche is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia (Hance) Roche, and their four children: Amanda Almstead and her husband, Brett; Megan Roche; Michael Roche and Steve Roche; his two granddaughters, Marin and Sydney Almstead; and his brother, William Roche and sister, Sharon Angyal.
