A driver was hospitalized after crashing into a wooded area on the side of a road in Westchester. The crash happened on Monday, Jan. 27 just after 10 p.m. on Ridge Road in Hartsdale, the Hartsdale Fire Department said. A 34-year-old man in connection with a deadly house fire in Dutchess County that claimed the lives of two individuals. The fire broke out on Sunday, Jan. 26, around 6:30 p.m. at 78 Marlorville Rd. in the town of Wappinger. According to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, emergency responders extinguished the blaze and discovered two deceased victims inside the home. Following an investigation, Robert J. Car Lands On Roof In Early-Morning Hudson Valley Crash
A Hudson Valley crash that left a car flipped on its roof caused a road to temporarily close. The wreck happened in Putnam County on Saturday, Jan. 18 just before 3:30 a.m., when a car overturned on Bucks Hollow Road in Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. A stretch of Route 9 in the Hudson Valley is closed as the result of a serious crash. The crash, which happened on Friday, Jan. 17 around 1:45 p.m. in Putnam County, has left Route 9 closed in Garrison in the area of Old Highland Turnpike, the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services announced. Police and first responders are operating in the area. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes. The road will remain closed for an "extended period of time," officials said. Blaze Tears Through Home In Westchester
Firefighters in Westchester quickly extinguished a house fire that broke out early in the morning, officials said. The blaze occurred in the Greenhaven area of Rye on Monday morning, Dec, 9, according to the Rye Fire Department.
