Two New York women convicted of non-violent federal drug offenses are among 16 people nationwide to receive clemency from President Joe Biden. Stacy Wilder, age 49, of Albany, served nearly six years in federal prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to possess and distribute cocaine in the Northern District of New York in January 2003. A Westchester man faces felony charges after crashing into a man while he was walking in a crosswalk on a New York roadway, leaving them critically injured, police announced. After more than 30 years of serving Hudson Valley grocery shoppers, a popular ShopRite store will close by the end of next year. The 55,500-square-foot store, located in Ulster County in Ellenville, at 1 ShopRite Boulevard off Route 209, was opened in 1993 by Wakefern Food Corporation in New Jersey. A Hudson Valley leader against gun violence is one of 15 people busted for allegedly dealing drugs throughout the region. The busts, which took place in Orange County and also included the seizure of numerous guns and money, were announced on Tuesday, Aug. 1 by Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler, and numerous law enforcement leaders. Body Found By FBI Agents Behind Home In Hudson Valley As Part Of 'Ongoing Case'
Mystery is surrounding the circumstances after FBI agents in the Hudson Valley dug up a body in the yard of a home. Agents were seen in Ulster County on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at the home in the village of Ellenville on Ulster Heights Road. FBI spokesman Daniel Cifro said the body was found as part of a continuing investigation. "Due to the ongoing nature of the case, we are unable to provide further comment," Cifro said. A paramedic allegedly stole from a man killed in a car crash in Northern Westchester that he responded to, police said. The crash happened in Yorktown on Thursday, Jan. 26, when a man, whose identity was not released, was critically injured and eventually died from his injuries.
