Robbery Suspect Who Menaced Victim With Knife Apprehended In Westchester, Police Say A Westchester man was arrested for allegedly robbing and menacing several people over a two-day period. Larry Lopez, age 29, of New Rochelle, was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 12, after police found him crawling out of a basement window of a home.  According to Capt. J. Officers from the New Rochelle Police Department were dispatched to a private residence on the 100 block of Drake Avenue at approximately 4:05 a.m. on Saturday, June 19 after a resident was woken up by a bullet going through a window. Renovations Begin At 95-Year-Old Fire Station In Westchester A 95-year-old fire station is getting a long-awaited facelift in Westchester. Renovations at Fire Station 2 on Webster Avenue in New Rochelle have begun, marking the first upgrade for the building - which was constructed in 1923 -since the 1980s. Officials said that “the station has received upgrades over the years, but needs a major overhaul to accommodate modern firefighting equipment.” The renovation calls for repairs inside and outside the building, including a new roof, windows and a replacement for the two single doors with a wide double bay door.
