Dentist In Hudson Valley Admits To Fraudulently Obtaining Oxycodone For Her Own Use A dentist from the Hudson Valley has pleaded guilty to obtaining oxycodone for her own use. Ulster County resident Vivian Letizia, age 63, of Stone Ridge, made the plea on Friday, April 15, according to US Attorney Carla Freedman. In pleading guilty, Letizia admitted that, in December 2019, she fraudulently submitted a prescription for oxycodone for one of her dentistry patients using that patient’s name and date of birth, the US Attorney's Office said. Andrew Cuomo made the announcement on Sunday, May 31. Dental offices can get back to business beginning Monday, June 1. George Pettit, Dentist In Ridgefield For Decades, Dies At 75 A longtime Ridgefield dentist who volunteered at a dental clinic in Honduras has died. Gordon G. Pettit, Jr. who practiced dentistry in Ridgefield for 32 years, died Thursday, May 23 at Danbury Hospital after a long battle with prostate cancer. He was 75. Dr. Pettit graduated from Northwestern University Dental School and joined his father in his dental practice in Ridgefield. He was born in New London on Aug. 5, 1943.
