The incident began around 7:46 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, when a 911 call was received by the Danbury Fire Department that a truck was on fire in the load dock area of Omaha Beef on Maple Avenue in Danbury, said James Gagliardo, communications director. Fire Heavily Damages Home, Displaces Residents In Fairfield County A Fairfield County home was heavily damaged during a fire overnight as snow continued to come down in the area that received more than 18 inches of snow.  The fire took place around 11:08 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 6 Sage Road, in the Lake Waubeeka area of Danbury, said James Gagliardo, communications director for the Danbury Fire Department. Woman Dead, Man Critically Injured In Danbury House Fire One person was killed and another severely injured after a house fire broke out in Danbury.
