Arrest Made In Hudson Valley Murder That Also Injured 5-Year-Old, Police Say
Police in the Hudson Valley have nabbed a man wanted in connection with the murder of an area man and also injured a 5-year-old.
The murder took place in Orange County on Thursday, Sept. 29, in the City of Newburgh.
City of Newburgh Police Commissioner Jose Gomerez announced Tuesday, Nov. 22 that Lamont Williams, age 29, no known address, was arrested in North Carolina following a months-long investigation.
Williams was found hiding in the closet of a mobile home and apprehended by US Marshals, said Gomerez.

A 4-year-old girl who was critically injured during a crash between a car and an SUV that also killed the driver of one of the vehicles has died from her injuries.
Orange County resident Journey Dorch, of the Town of Woodbury, died over the weekend, from injuries sustained during the crash on Saturday, July 17, on Route 32 in the town of Cornwall, said the state police.

Three Women, Four Men Charged In Area Prostitution Bust
Three women and four men were nabbed during a prostitution bust following complaints from residents of prostitution taking place throughout the area.
The group was arrested on Thursday during an operation conducted by officers with the City of Newburgh Police Department and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office Task Force.

A father and son duo who were part of a wide-ranging due trafficking network in Orange County has pleaded guilty to felony charges in connection with the "Operation Family Ties," according to Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler.
