Duo From Westchester, Rockland Accused Of Withdrawing Money Using Fake ID Two Hudson Valley men -- one from Westchester and the other from Rockland -- have been arrested for allegedly attempting to close an Orange County bank account that didn't belong to them that had more than $200,000. The incident took place around 2:15 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, when Monroe Police received a report of attempted fraud at the Chase Bank located at 456 Monroe Turnpike, said Lt. Stephen Corrone. Man Hits Roommate In Face With Hammer, Stamford Police Say A man was arrested for attacking his rooming house neighbor with a hammer in the face, breaking bones, according to the Stamford Police. Rocael Perez-Godoy, 36, was arrest around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday after police received a report of an attack at a West Side rooming house on Oak Hill Street, said Sgt. Kenneth Jarrett. Police Nab Stamford Man For Stabbing In Park A Stamford man was nabbed within hours after stabbing another man in Leone Park following a fight.Evans Powell, 26, was apprehended by Stamford detectives about 4 p.m. Wednesday after the injured man drove to Stamford Hospital for treatment after being stabbed Tuesday night, said Lt. Man Charged In Violent Assaults Of Mother Of His Son In Stamford An undocumented Haitian man is behind bars for several brutal assaults on his girlfriend after she attempted to break up with him. Waking Noel, 34, of Seaton Road, Stamford, is being held in lieu of a $100,000 after he was charged with assaulting the mother of his two-year-old child in February, said Sgt. Jennifer Lynch.
