Suspect At Large After Shooting At Train Station In Westchester Authorities are searching for a suspect who shot a man in the parking lot of a train station in Westchester, leaving him hospitalized.  The incident happened on Saturday, May 20 around 11:45 p.m., when MTA Police responded to the south parking lot at the Metro-North Mount Vernon East Station after they received a report of shots fired, according to MTA Police Department spokesperson Aaron Donovan.  Once at the scene, an investigation revealed that a man with multiple gunshot wounds had been taken to Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital. ID Released For Westchester Man Fatally Struck By Train MTA officials have released the name of a 54-year-old Westchester man who was struck and killed by a train in Fairfield County. New Rochelle resident Noel Smith was struck at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, MTA spokesperson Aaron Donovan said, outside of the Stamford Metro-North station. It is unclear what caused Smith to be on the tracks at the time he was struck. Donovan said the investigation into the fatal strike is ongoing, but is not believed to be criminal in nature. The incident took place at approximately 11:27 a.m., Thursday, May 6, as the westbound train was traveling in Fairfield County between Westport and East Norwalk, said Aaron Donovan, spokesman for the MTA.
