Cloudy Skies Spoil Supermoon Party In Westchester, But Don't Give Up Yet Mother Nature has some sense of humor. On the night when the moon was closer to Earth than it has been in the last 68 years - or will be again until 2034 - area skies were filled with clouds ranging from light to heavy enough to completely block Monday night's impressive moon. Meteor Shower, Closest Supermoon In 68 Years To Light Lewisboro Skies The next few days could hold many thrills for those who turn their attention to the night skies.
