Santa & Mrs. Claus Make Appearance At Pawling Library PAWLING, N.Y. - A special couple visiting from the North Pole made an appearance in Dutchess County. Children young and old flocked to the Pawling Library on Saturday, Dec. 3 to visit the famous Mr. & Mrs. Claus. Santa Hits Mahopac Streets For 46th Candy Cane Run MAHOPAC, N.Y. - Santa is double-checking that list. A time honored tradition took place Saturday morning at the Mahopac Falls Fire Headquarters, as fire and EMS crews hit the streets of the fire district, escorting Santa to get last-minute requests from the girls and boys, handing out candy canes, and collecting gifts for TOYS for TOTS. Before heading out, the crews stopped long enough for the annual Candy Cane Run photo,  then at the stroke of 10 a.m., with emergency lights flashing and sirens wailing, the 46th Annual Candy Cane run began.

Carmel Officers Honored After Evacuating Residents From Burning Building CARMEL, N.Y. - Two Carmel Police officers and one Putnam Sheriff's Department Sergeant were honored Wednesday night at Carmel Town Hall, after evacuating residents from a burning structure fire last month.
