Northern Westchester Man Allegedly Put Rifle To Head Of Victim, Threatened To Pull Trigger

A 65-year-old r man was arrested for allegedly pointing a rifle at the head of a victim and threatened to pull the trigger in Northern Westchester, police said.

Carl J. Woodward, of Yorktown, was arrested on Monday, Jan. 27, and charged with menacing, said the Yorktown Police Department.

According to police, on Monday, a Yorktown police officer took a statement from another Yorktown resident that revealed the incident took place around 2 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 25, when Woodward allegedly threatened the victim with the rifle.

Woodward was arrested outside of his home and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

The victim was provided with an order of protection and Woodward was released on his own recognizance.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 11.
