SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. A 20-year tradition will continue on the Fourth of July when nearly 120 antique and collectible dealers will fill the yard at Stevens Memorial United Methodist Church in South Salem for the annual Antiques in the Churchyard sale.
The gate will open at 9 a.m. with the traditional all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast service inside the air-conditioned church. Breakfast continues until 11 a.m. and costs $4 for children and $6 for adults. Each year, church volunteers wait on hundreds of early shoppers, serving them pancakes, sausage, juice, and coffee or tea.
In addition, out on the lawn the Horse and Hound restaurant will offer food, and kettle corn will be available all day.
Antique and collectible dealers will come from eight states offering American art pottery, vintage toys, 16th- through 19th-century prints, antique maps, vintage hardware, brass and nickel bathroom accessories, art deco objects, 1930s through '50s kitchen and barware, English Staffordshire china, ethnic jewelry, vintage clothing and much more.
