Fishburne, who resides in New Rochelle, turns 55 on Saturday.
Fishburne was born in Augusta, Georgia on July 30, 1961.
The actor, director, producer and playwright is best known for playing Morpheus in the blockbuster "Matrix" trilogy.
Fishburne's other roles include Jason "Furious" Styles in "Boyz n the Hood," Tyrone "Mr. Clean" Miller in "Apocalypse Now," and Dr. Raymond Langston on CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."
He is the first African-American to portray Othello in a major motion picture.
He recently played the role of Perry White in "Man of Steel" and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
Fishburne won an Emmy award for his performance in "TriBeCa" and a Tony for his performance in "Two Trains Running."
