Car Loses Wheel In Crash On Hudson Valley Road: Here's Where A one-car crash left a Hudson Valley road briefly closed as fire crews responded to the scene. The crash happened in Putnam County on Monday, Jan. 22 around 4:30 p.m., when a vehicle crashed in the area of Buckshollow Road and Astor Drive in Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.  The driver of the vehicle refused medical attention once first responders arrived at the scene.  The crash caused the road to close for just over a half hour as crews worked to remove the damaged vehicle, which lost a wheel. The cause of the wreck was not released.

2 People Injured In Head-On Crash In Hudson Valley Two people were injured in a head-on collision in the Hudson Valley that left two cars severely damaged.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Friday, Jan. 19 around 2:45 p.m., when two cars collided on Crane Road (Route 32) in the area of Fini Drive in Carmel, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.  Two people were taken to a hospital after the crash by first responders, firefighters said. The cause of the crash was not released.

The crash happened on Thursday, Jan. 18 around 10:30 p.m., when two vehicles collided on northbound Route 9 in Croton-on-Hudson near Croton Point Avenue, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.  Arriving crews discovered that one of the drivers had apparently fled the crash scene on foot.
