Charles R. Belcher, 93, Longtime Hyde Park Resident HYDE PARK, N.Y. — Longtime Hyde Park resident Charles R. Belcher died Tuesday, May 17. He was 93. Belcher served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a teacher at Poughkeepsie High School for more than 28 years, until his retirement in 1987.  He was a member of the Hyde Park United Methodist Church and was active in the church's Men's Club.  He was also a member of the University Club.  Belcher is survived by three children. Michael H. Yans, 96, Longtime Mamaroneck Resident MAMARONECK, N.Y. — Longtime Mamaroneck resident Michael H. "Mikey" Yans died Monday, Dec. 14, 2015. He was 96.Yans was a devoted parishioner and "altar boy emeritus" of Holy Trinity Church, a veteran of World War II, a co-proprietor of Yans Brothers Wines & Liquors, a messenger for BNY, a tennis instructor, and a skilled, all-around handyman.  A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at St. Vito's Holy Trinity, 816 Underhill Ave., Mamaroneck.

Dorothy J. Roe, 92, Longtime Tarrytown Resident TARRYTOWN, N.Y. — Longtime Tarrytown resident Dorothy J. Roe died Tuesday, May 17. She was 92. Roe graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School and was a payroll clerk for the Aeolian Piano Co. in Manhattan prior to her marriage.  After her children were grown, she worked as a teacher's aide at the Tappan Hill School in Tarrytown, retiring in 1991.
