Stanley Eng, 84, Of Harrington Park
HARRINGTON PARK, N.J. -- Stanley Eng, of Harrington Park, died Nov. 20. He was 84.
He was born Feb. 29, 1932.
He graduated from Philadelphia Textile Institute and enjoyed a long career in textile engineering.
He is survived by his wife, Lily; children, Glenn and his wife Catharina Chin Eng and Brian and his wife Joyce Bogus Eng; siblings, Suey Kee Lee and Edward Eng; and grandchildren, David, Tracy and Sebastian.
He was predeceased by his sister, Suey King Wong.

Bert Toron, 89, Of New Milford
NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- Bert Toron, of New Milford, died Nov. 19. He was 89.
He was born Aug. 3 1927, in the Bronx to Bessie and Benjamin Toron.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 17 and served in the Seabees until the end of World War II.
Toron was the former owner of Regal Sportogs in Hackensack for 40 years and then employed as a fabric supervisor at Anne Klein Inc. until his retirement at 71. He moved to New Milford in 1958 and resided there until his death.

The daughter of the late Ralph and Dolores Porter, she was born March 31, 1933 at Vassar Hospital.

PARAMUS, N.J. -- Christine M. Festa, of Paramus, died Sunday, Nov. 20.
Born in New York City, she moved to Paramus in 1952, along with other immediate family members, purchasing four contiguous houses on one street. Together they formed a ‘family compound’ and a strong presence in the neighborhood. She had the rare ability to connect with any and all people and sharing her unending love.

LODI, N.J. -- Mildred Brownlee, of Lodi, died Nov. 20. She was 86.
Before retiring, she worked in the collections department of Stern’s Department Store in Paramus. She formerly was a member of the St. Joseph Rosary Society, the Lodi Senior Citizens and the Lodi AARP. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Lodi and for many years she worked the elections at the Lodi Ambulance Corp.

She was born, raised and educated in Jersey City.

The daughter of the late Olaf and Catherine (nee DeGeorge) Ohngren, she was born March 27, 1941 in Tarrytown.

After following her dream of performing as a stage actress and dancer, her passion turned toward raising her four children. After having lost her husband in 1997, she raised four children as a single mother. That, she said, was her greatest achievement.
