At Steer, It All Starts In The Mind

We all fall into the same trap. We take our mindset for granted when we develop academic, physical, or personal goals. And yet, the way we approach a plan mentally dictates how successful that plan can be. STEER for Student-Athletes emphasizes the connection between mindset and performance.

Over the past ten years, STEER has collaborated with Peak Mental Game (PMG). Together, we educate students and improve their mental skills, on and off the field. STEER's student-athletes receive mental performance education, personal support, and personalized programming.

PMG introduces students to the idea of a "peak performance journey." We train students through weekly mentoring, live sessions, and personal connection. Students develop the skills that produce peak performance: motivation, confidence, composure, and resilience.

Traditionally, these resources have been too expensive for many student athletes. Through STEER, PMG's specialty training is leveling the playing field for all. The results are showing in all areas of performance: sports, academics, and life.

We aim to equip student-athletes with a mindset that enables strong, consistent effort. We know these mental skills are transferrable. We rejoice in seeing student-athletes use these tools in all areas of life.

Mindset is fundamental to developing and achieving our goals. Even more importantly, mindset determines how we adjust when adversity interrupts our progress. We are proud of the impact we've had through STEER and PMG. We are hopeful that the future brings even more influence and success.
