Wolff has been a writer for Sports Illustrated since 1980. In addition to covering basketball at all levels, he has written from the Olympics, soccer’s World Cup, the World Series, every Grand Slam tennis event, and the Tour de France. Story assignments have taken him to six continents and to countries including China, Cuba, Iran, and Russia. He has dealt with such issues at the intersection of sport and society as race, gender, style, the environment, drugs, education, law, business, conflict, ethics and culture.
