Yom HaShoah is a day of commemoration for the approximately six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust
The objective for this exhibit is to educate everyone who attends about the Holocaust, in using visuals, props and stories from the past. It will recreate little part of the history from that time, so that no one will ever forget.
"We are still here. And no matter what, we shall continue to be here to tell people so they can learn from our history, " said Elie Wiesel, Nobel Laureate, author and Holocaust survivor.
Some of the displays were made by children of the JCCH Religious School and the Early Childhood Center. All of the items used in the exhibit are not authentic artifacts of the Holocaust; they are merely objects obtained to look like a step back in time.
