The identity of a woman who was found dead by the banks of a river in Westchester has been released by authorities. A woman identified as 28-year-old Nicosha Gayle of the Bronx was found on the banks of the Bronx River in Yonkers on Monday morning, May 1 a little after 10 a.m., according to Westchester County Police Public Information Officer Kieran O'Leary. Woman's Body Found Floating In Hudson River
A woman's body was discovered floating in the Hudson River. The unidentified woman was found in Dutchess County around 10 a.m., Monday, April 10 near the Mid-Hudson Bridge and the city of Poughkeepsie. Sheriff's deputies responded to the area after receiving a report of a possible body in the river near the Mid-Hudson Bridge, said Capt. John Watterson, of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. Authorities Ask For Help Identifying Man Found Dead In Wooden Chest In Westchester
Authorities in Westchester County are asking the public for help identifying a man whose body was found in a wooden chest on the side of the Saw Mill River Parkway more than four decades ago. The man's body was discovered in Hastings-on-Hudson at 10:15 a.m. on April 23, 1978, by a driver traveling north on the parkway, according to the Westchester County District Attorney's Office. Update: Two women found bound together whose bodies washed up on the shore off Manhattan's Upper West Side have been identified. The bodies discovered along the Hudson River were Rotana Farea, 22, and her sister, Tala Farea, 16, both of Fairfax, Virginia, the NYPD said Saturday.
