The incident happened on Friday, June 23 around 1 p.m., when firefighters from both the Port Chester and Rye Brook fire departments were sent to 43 Avon Circle in Rye Brook on a report of a car crashing into a building. Authorities are warning residents to stay away from the area of a fire in Westchester that left a commercial building destroyed and nine families displaced. The fire erupted early on Tuesday morning, May 9 just after midnight, when firefighters in Mount Vernon were alerted of a structural fire at 24 Mount Vernon Ave., according to Director of Communications Timothy Allen. A busy roadway is partially closed after a pickup truck slammed into three storefronts in Westchester. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m., Monday, June 3, when an unidentified driver of a red Ford F-150 swerved onto the smashing the windows and causing possible structural damage of the three businesses at 1967 Palmer Avenue in Larchmont, according to numerous reports. An SUV crashed into a parking garage wall, temporarily shutting down a bulk of the parking garage and hospitalizing five at the Mall at Cross County in Yonkers. Shortly after 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, a Nissan Pathfinder struck a boundary wall head-on in the garage, officials said. Five people were injured in the crash - including one in critical condition - who were all taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx for treatment. Car Crashes Into Storefront Of Busy Westchester Market
A car drove into the storefront of a busy market early Thursday afternoon, sending shoppers scrambling in Northern Westchester. The incident took place around 12:08 p.m. when an elderly man drove into the front of Cole's Market at 2147 Albany Post Road in Montrose, said State Police spokesman AJ Hicks.
