BERGENFIELD, N.J. — Dorothy Stephan, of Bergenfield, died Oct. 30. She was 93. She was predeceased by her husband Herman; and daughter, Jan Torrone.
She is survived by her children, Robert, Kenneth and Craig Stephan (Marisa); eight grandchildren, Tyler, Cody, Michelle, Jamie, Leann, Robbie, Jared and Marissa; and two great-grandchildren, Kristofer and Jaicob.
Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at the William G. Basralian Funeral Home, 559 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell. During visitation, a religious service will be offered. Cremation will be private.

NEW MILFORD, N.J. — Frank J. Cecco, of New Milford, died Monday, Nov. 7. He was 73.He was born in Brooklyn, to Emily (nee Cafaro) and Frank Cecco. He was a letter carrier for 51 years with the New Milford Post Office, and a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, a member of the New Milford-Teaneck Elks Lodge #2290 and N.E. Regional Director of the Mended Hearts.

SPARKILL, N.Y. — Veronica Frances Scallon, of Sparkill, died Nov. 6. She was 92.She was born June 15, 1924, to Joseph and Kathleen Skelly in New York.
She graduated from St. Lawrence Academy and received her bachelor's degree from Good Counsel. She was a lifelong member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post #6467 of Bergenfield. CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. — Remo A. Scremin, of Cliffside Park, died Monday, Nov. 7. He was 90.He was born July 7, 1926, in Hoboken, to Robert and Maria Scremin.
He worked as a salesman for Quaker Soap in Secaucus. He served our country during World War II. At the age of 17, he joined the U.S. Navy in 1942 at the start of the war. He served on the U.S.S. RUTHERFORD, N.J. — James E. Lewia, of Rutherford, died Nov. 7. He was 80. He was born in Newark, and was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford. FAIR LAWN, N.J. — Carol Van Den Henden, of Fair Lawn, died Nov. 7. She was 79.She was born April 11, 1937, in Paterson and has lived in Fair Lawn the past 50 years. Prior to her retirement, she was a bookkeeper for Lazzara’s Bakery in Paterson. A member of Headliners Bowling League in Fair Lawn and the Woman’s Bowling Association “500 Club,” she served as league secretary to both. BEACON, N.Y. — Margaret M. Hustis, of Beacon, died Sunday, Nov. 6. She was 77.She was born March 24, 1939, in South Fallsburg, the daughter of Chancelor Scott. She was a former bartender for the Elks Club in Beacon and a former waitress for Di Nardi's Restaurant in Beacon.
