Hamilton Girls Basketball Outshoots Rye

RYE, N.Y. – Maia Hood scored a game-high 24 points Tuesday to lead the Woodlands Falcons girls’ basketball team to a 58-48 victory over Rye.

Hamilton (4-0) won its fourth straight game and comes off a championship game victory over Woodlands in its own Elmsford Classic basketball tournament Saturday.

The Red Raiders built a 27-19 lead at halftime and stayed virtually even with the Garnets in the second half to earn the victory.

Ayanna Bhagan and Amani Lightbourne each scored 10 points for the Red Raiders and teammate Jamine Robinson added eight points.

Grace Leishman led Rye with 17 points and Hannah Billingsley added 16 points for the host Garnets.
