Lamarr Adams, 29, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a Class B felony, subsequent to a short-term narcotics investigation conducted by the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force.
At the time of his arrest, Adams was found to be in possession of two bags, each containing about 3.5 grams of a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine, according to the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force. That weight of bag is commonly referred to as an eight-ball.
Adams was arraigned in local court where bail was set in the amount of $5,000.
Unable to make bail, Adams was remanded to the Westchester County Jail pending his next court appearance on Monday, March 14.
