Greenburgh Town Board Appoints Veteran Advisory Board

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- The Greenburgh Town Board has appointed William Aguilar, Carmine DiPasquale, Hugh McAuley, Major John Daskos, Edward Mallicoat, Joseph Rocca, Victor Viera and Steve Wittenberg to the Veteran Advisory Board, 

The Greenburgh Town Board has created a new Veteran Advisory Board.

The committee will meet the first Monday of each month at the Town Hall. The first meeting is scheduled Jan, 4 at 10 a.m. with board members' terms set to expire on Dec. 31, 2017.

The goal of the committee is to identify resources for military Veterans encompassing Veteran’s benefits, education, and networking. The committee will also organize the annual Veterans Day ceremonies at the soon to be constructed new Veterans Memorial Park on East Hartsdale Avenue. 

That park will be constructed by Veterans Day, 2016. The committee will also be responsible for ensuring that the 150 interviews of veterans who participated in the Living history initiative are aired on public access TV on Memorial Day and Veterans day weekends.
