Thanks to her leadership and fundraising abilities the library was provided with furniture, computers, technology, self check machines and other contributions. "She has been a great asset to our community and has helped make our Greenburgh Library one of the best libraries in the region" says Town Supervisor Paul Feiner.
Under Chriss' leadership, the Library underwent the following upgrades:
- Provided the Library Computer Training Room with furniture, computers and smart technology
- Furnished the Multipurpose Room with audio visual equipment and smart technology
- Facilitated the installation of self-check machines in the Library’s lobby
- Donated $25,000 to purchase reading materials for the Library during a fiscal budget crisis
- Purchased iPads and learning apps for the Children’s Room
- Raised over $100,000 for the Library through the Books & Cooks fund raising event
The event is by invitation only, but the town plans to honor her services as well with a public ceremony.
